Not as well known because they were in East Germany & unavailable in the West until reunification in 1991. After a relatively short period they have become regarded as the premier manufacturer of harmonicas boasting an artist roster that includes James Cotton, Charlie Musselwhite & Austin harp phenom Jimi Lee. Unlike that other German harmonica maker who now makes much of their products in Asia, ALL Seydel Harmonicas are made in Klingethal, Germany to the highest standards.
