LARRIVEE GUITARS IN STOCK AT THIS TIME ! Larrivee was the first line of guitars I took on when we opened back in 1999. They were great guitars back then and I truly feel that they have continued to build even better guitars through the years. These guitars that we just received in the 3 Series are absolutely knockouts, with tone, feel, and features that will slay the other big name makers guitars of comparable price. Jean Larrivee has been making world class guitars for over 40 years. Back then they became noted for their elaborate and ornate inlay work done by Jean's wife Wendy. You can still get a fancy inlaid Larrivee, but the 3 series is their entry level which offers features like a bound ebony fingerboard and bridge; all solid wood construction; maple wood body binding, dovetail neck joint. Today there are many highly regarded Canadian luthiers who apprenticed under Jean Larrivee and his influence is reflected in their work. The 3 Series from Larrivee is a no compromise premium guitar at a considerably better value than most of the big name competitors.
The cutaway dreadnoughts have LR Baggs pickups installed by the USA Larrivee distributor in Georgia. This is a factory authorized install and is covered under warranty, although the guitars are not labeled with the "E" designation, which would normally indicate electronics included. Right now most of our Larrivees have mahogany backs and sides and Jean Larrivee gets some of the nicest and finest mahogany anywhere. Sometimes players will mistakenly get the notion that mahogany is a lesser wood than rosewood because it's not as expensive. Let me disavow you of that notion; mahogany is every bit "as good as" rosewood, but it is simply not as expensive. D-05 satin finish. This is something of a new offering from Larrivee with the 5 Series appointments and a satin finish, so you get a gorgeous guitar loaded with upscale features. All this at a price that is surprisingly affordable. Best of all, this guitar pretty well smokes any other guitar in its price range. Looks, tone, feel; it's all there. $1450.00 w/deluxe case.
DV-03E. As always Larrivee uses beautiful mahogany and tight sitka spruce. This guitar is a boomer that will impress even jaded players of high-end and boutique guitars. New Series 3 models from Larrivee come standard with sapele, so the mahogany is a terrific upgrade for the same price. LR Baggs Stage Pro onboard pickup system makes it gig and stage ready with built-in tuner and controls at your fingertips. Larrivee' P-03 Parlor Guitar $895.00
Larrivee' OM03 California made, Signed Label, Italian Alpine Spruce Top Here NOW!
Larrivee' D05 Satin Series [Vancouver B.C.]. Many people prefer satin finishes over gloss, so Larrivee has taken their 5 series features and given it a satin finish. You get a lovely guitar with some attractive appointments like an abalone rosette, silver inlaid headstock trim, mother-of-pearl logo, and maple binding at a price that is far more affordable than other North American made guitars of similar appointments, and more affordable than a Larrivee L-05 with a gloss finish.
Just In! L-03. The "L" body shape from Larrivee is there own shape and doesn't translate to the common D and OM and others. The body is something between a dreadnought and an Orchestra Model, rendering a lovely shape that's at once comfortable to play and produces a rich, robust tone with ample basses and chimey trebles. $950.00 w/case
Larrivee L-02. Used, has some cracks but structurally fine. $550.00 w/hsc.
