Home -- Instruments -- C.F. Martin

Your son or daughter plays guitar and plays pretty good. Been playing for awhile and really enjoys it, so you want to get them a really nice guitar. Let me tell you this: People who are my age (over 60) who got a Martin Guitar when they were younger still cherish those guitars today. There are few objects in this world that will retain their value and worth as a great Martin Guitar, We have a good selection of Martin Guitars right now, but we won't be getting more this year, so now is the time to shop.

Guitarists who know great guitars will tell you rightly that C.F. Martin is making the best guitars they've ever made in their 178 years of building great guitars. Even an entry level X Series Martin represents an excellent value with fine quality. Unfortunately though, that's all that many players have experienced, not realizing that a DXM, a fine guitar, is a far cry from an HD 28 which is a superlative guitar. We invite you to come in & experience what a really fine Martin Guitar is all about.

JUST ARRIVED:

OMM John Renbourn model. Orchestra Model 14 fret slot with Italian spruce top and Madagascar rosewood back and sides. This combination of woods is pretty much this century's Holy Grail of wood choices, with Madagascar rosewood being genetically identical to Brazilian rosewood and Italian spruce recognized as a crucial ingredient in Stradavarius violins, equally wonderful for guitars. Renbourn is one of England's premier and pioneer fingerstylists and this guitar is a fitting tribute, but it can certainly take a plectrum and a more aggressive attack without any distortion or decay. MSRP: $5,499.00 CALL

1965 Martin D-28. John Lennon famously owned and played a 1965 D-28 and it was the guitar on which he composed most of "The White Album". That's just one of the things that make this guitar special, not the least of which is the stunning Brazilian rosewood back and sides. It has had one owner in its lifetime & he passed away more than 20 years ago, and after that it remained unplayed. It's in incredible 100% original condition and has just had a neck reset performed by our master luthier, John Thurston. It plays flawlessly and sounds amazing. You will not find a better playing, cleaner example anywhere. $6,500.00 w/ohsc

GPCPA made from Sustainable materiels!  The back and sides are made from sustainable Mahogany and the top is Certified European Spruce.  $2499.00

JC16-RE with the Fishmann Aura system installed;

 C.F. Martin OMC Cherry.  Made of sustainable yield North American Cherry, Maple Neck and Recovered Sitka Spruce.  The Fret board and bridge are made of Katalox [aka Mexican Ebony] making for a fine sounding guitar made from components that are not endangered. People expect cherry to be a dark colored wood, but it's quite light colored unstained. The tone is warm and woody, not unlike mahogany with perhaps a bit more crispness.  The electronics system is by Fishman featuring the Ellipse Aura Blend system, mounted with controls inside the sound hole to maintain the integrity of the guitar without cutting unnecessary holes.

$2699.00 w/ HSC
