1958 Martin 5-18 Terz guitar. Same year, same model as the one famously played by Marty Robbins. Another real man by the name of Merle Haggard was known to be seen playing a 5-18 model Martin, as well as Conway Twitty and many other musical greats. The diminutive Terz is meant to be tuned to a third higher than standard (G to G). A unique voice and just a sweetheart of a guitar, this vintage guitar is in excellent 100% original condition with just a few scuffs and scratches. Action is nice and low and there's plenty of saddle left, so a neck reset will not be needed antime soon, or maybe never. She sounds sweet and plays perfectly. This is a one owner instrument and the owner was a one-time country radio personality here in San Antonio by the name of Johnny Thomas (Johnny Be Good) who still performs the occasional gig in the area. Martin made a Marty Robbins limited edition signature model a few years back that sold for quite a bit more than this one will. Why not have the real vintage version? There are many years left in this little guitar. $2,000.00

C.F. Martin D-35 from 1976.  Excellent condition with a chimey tone and very respectable volume.  A wonderful guitar for any number of applications.  Good action and firm response to fingers as well as flat picks.  $1890.00

1965 Martin D-28, excellent condition.  Big and balanced and did i forget to mention "Brazillian"?

This is a prime example of what the 1960's era Martins were all about. Not that this might EVER influence anyone in their purchase of a vintage guitar, but a 1965 Martin D-28 was famously owned by John Lennon upon which he composed his portion of "The White Album". Luthier, John Thurston, has just reset the neck and gone over everything, making certain that it's in tip-top shape. Extremely clean, one owner guitar. Yours for $6,400.00

Harwoood Bowlback  [Neopolitan Style] Mandolin. ca. 1890's  Lovely old sound that blends so well with a Classical guitar. Harwood instruments are respected among collectors & somewhat sought out, yet they don't command the price tags or Gibsons & Martins. A couple of solidly repaired top cracks, but the back is surprisingly tight with no separation between the Brazilian rosewood staves. The neck is very straight, the original bar frets are in good shape, & the tuners work well with the original buttons. Brazilian rosewood overlay on the headstock which sports an attractive filial adornment & Martin type volute on the back. The tailpiece is a beautifully designed engraved work of art that functions nicely, too. The bridge has been repaced with an ebony bridge with bone insert that looks proper & works well, leaving the action nice & low. Unlike most round backed mandolins, this one plays really nicely & sounds quite good with a rich robust tone.

$395.00
